Bible Study
Wednesdays at 1:00 PM
Study continues with Merle Boos facilitating — Genesis. The theological importance of Genesis centers on the goodness and faithfulness of God in the face of a broken creation, and the need for God’s mercy through the covenant relationship God establishes with His people.
Tuesdays, January 17th, 24th, and 31st
1:00 PM and 6:30 PM
In the season of Epiphany we celebrate the ways that Jesus is revealed as the Son of God. Jesus is revealed in the stories of his healing of the sick, his walking on the waves, and his transfiguration on the mount. Come and join us as we consider the question of the disciples, “Who then is this that even the wind and the sea obey him.”

Book Study January 12th
1:00 PM and 6:30 PM
The book we are studying for the month of January is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. What if you found out that medical doctors had taken the cells of one of your family and had produced an endless amount of genetic material for research? Did you know that doctors can keep any material they take from you and keep it for study in any way that they choose? Did you know that women and people of color have been used to advance the field of medicine without their permission and sometimes without their knowledge? What is the emotional cost? Who should have control over our DNA?
