Trinity’s Senior High Ministry invites all 9th-12th Graders to gather together throughout the year for lock-ins, discussion groups, activities, fundraising, and to prepare for the Summer Servant Trip.

Summer Servant Trip

The Trinity Senior High Servant Trip is an annual opportunity designed to give our 9th - 12th grade youth a chance to encounter a world and a faith that’s much bigger than just West Bend and Trinity Lutheran Church.  In a community of fellow faith travelers, youth on the summer trip explore issues of faith and life through worship, devotions, community building, education, service and fun.

The Trinity Summer Trip ministry is designed in a 3 year cycle with each year emphasizing an important aspect of being “ambassadors for Christ in the world.” Year 1 is an opportunity to serve in the name of Christ in a rural or outdoor setting.  The focus is on community building, discovering the wonder of God’s creation, and working together to care for God’s world.  Year 2 is an opportunity to serve in the name of Christ in an urban setting. The focus is on growing the understanding, respect and compassion for others that helps us to grow as the children of God. Finally, in Year 3 the emphasis is on helping youth recognize that they are part of a powerful historic movement with many opportunities to grow and serve. It is in Year 3 that Trinity travels to the ELCA National Youth Gathering.

Thus, every summer trip includes aspects of growth, service, worship, community and fun.  By your support for our “Sr. High Summer Trip Ministry” you are supporting much more than a “vacation” for our young people.  You are giving them important “ambassador training” opportunities that could change their lives and the whole church.
